Ronald Koeman has expressed his delight after agreeing to a deal to stay on as Feyenoord coach until the end of next season.
The former Ajax and Valencia boss succeeded Genk-bound Mario Been last summer, and has been an instant hit at the De Kuip, with the North Holland outfit sitting fifth in the Eredivisie standings, just four points adrift of a Champions League place.
Koeman’s work has not gone unnoticed by Feyenoord, and the club have rewarded him with a contract extension for a further year-and-a-half.
“I am feeling very well at Feyenoord, and I am pleased that we have reached an agreement,” Koeman said.
“We have a group with a lot of potential and have plenty of room for progress.”
Feyenoord restart their Eredivisie campaign with a clash against VVV Venlo on January 22.
