According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Ronald Koeman wants Philippe Coutinho in his Barcelona squad next season.
Coutinho hasn’t quite been himself dating all the way back to when he left Liverpool in favour of Barcelona. He’s definitely had his moments, most notably during his time with Bayern Munich, but consistency has been something that he’s really struggled with.
The Brazilian still believes he has a lot to offer at the Nou Camp, though, and as it turns out, Ronald Koeman falls into a similar line of thinking and is willing to stick his neck out on the line for it to happen.
The Dutchman is facing his own series of pressures heading into the new campaign with some wondering whether or not he’s the right man for the job. If he does keep Coutinho in the first team squad, it could end up being the sort of “make or break” decision that defines his time there.
