Manchester City full-back Aleksandar Kolarov has a long list of suitors among Italy’s top clubs, according to his agent.
The Serbian defender had been widely tipped to return to Italian Serie A as he struggled for playing time in England, although he recently managed to improve his status at Etihad.
But, with Kolarov’s deal with the Citizens due to expire in just over a year, it appears clubs from Italy are ready to reignite their interest.
The player’s agent Dejan Joksimovic has moved to reveal that Roma, Milan and Juventus are some of the sides keeping close tabs on the Serbia international.
“I can say Roma are tracking him, but there are problems based on the wages because Kolarov earns €3.5m per season and has another year on his contract,” Dejan Joksimovic told AS Roma Radio.
“There are other clubs, including Juventus, Milan, Monaco and some Russian sides who can afford to pay extraordinary sums for Kolarov. As of now, there are no concrete negotiations yet.”
Aleksandar Kolarov has finally managed to nail down a regular starting berth at Etihad, having made 27 Premier League appearances this term, scoring one goal and producing six assists.
The 28-year-old also featured in 7 Champions League games, starting 6 of those matches, and scoring one goal.
