Couple of years ago, it felt like Aleksandar Kolarov’s career could be getting on a downward spiral, after his final season at Manchester City. He never truly looked good enough for what Pep Guardiola was trying to achieve at the club and he moved to AS Roma for just five million euros.
But after two great seasons, he started the third one strongly as well and now Fenerbahce are interested in the captain of Serbian national team. According to Calciomercato, Turkish giants are targeting the left-back who has done magnificently since returning to Italy.
Kolarov scored 20 and assisted another 20 since that move in the summer of 2017 and now he could be on another move, if Italian media are to be believed. Fenerbahce are interested to get a big name signing, but it feels unlikely for Roma to allow that halfway through the campaign. The summer of 2020 feels like a more realistic time for such approach.
