(GSM) – Kortrijk are likely to win the battle for fifth place in the Belgian Pro League after Saturday’s 2-0 win over Zulte-Waregem.

The bottom two teams in the championship group had both been losing most of their recent games and needed a win to get things back on track.

No goals were scored in the first half but Christian Benteke broke the deadlock in the 74th minute. The 19-year-old went on to make it 2-0 in the dying minutes.

With six rounds left to play, Kortrijk are now five points ahead of sixth-placed Zulte-Waregem.
