Koscielny moves closer to Arsenal exit

According to a recent report from Sky sources, French side Rennes are still interested in the possibility of signing Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny this summer. After refusing to take part in the club’s tour of the United States, Laurent has made it crystal clear that he sees his future away from the Emirates. Both Rennes and the defender himself want to try and arrange a free transfer, but Arsenal want some kind of financial add-on due to the fact that he is still under contract.

Given his recent behaviour there aren’t going to be all too many fans who will be sad to see him go, because to be perfectly honest, he has represented something that the club have been trying to get away from for the longest time: mediocrity.

He’s never really been a world class defender, and now, it’s time for Arsenal to cut their ties with him once and for all.
