“Our squad is complete, so will now try to release players who won’t have much time on the pitch,” Giuntoli told Sky in Italy.
“I think Koulibaly is staying, we are very happy and so is he. He has three years on his current deal, I believe he is staying.”
Napoli club director Cristiano Guintoli has confirmed that he believes defender Kalidou Koulibaly will be staying at the club this summer.
There has been a great deal of speculation surrounding Koulibaly’s future, mainly because Manchester City are the primary club that have been trying to sign him.
City are one of the frontrunners in the race to win the Premier League title but if their showing against Leicester City taught us anything, it’s that they need some more defensive reinforcements. If they don’t get them, there’s a good chance Liverpool could run away with the title – and Koulibaly may not be there to lend a helping hand.
