Midfielder Jason Koumas is set for a second spell with Championship outfit Cardiff City after the Bluebirds announced on their official website that they had agreed terms with Wigan for signing the 30 year old on a season long loan. Cardiff are currently under a transfer embargo and Koumas’ transfer is expected to be formalised once the embargo is lifted.
Koumas spent the 2005-06 season with Cardiff and was named the club’s Player of the Year that season. He was also named in the 05-06 Championship’s PFA Team of the Season.
Wrexham born Koumas was surplus to requirements at Wigan and had been linked with a host of other clubs including Newcastle United and West Bromwich Albion.
