Kovacic to join Chelsea permanently?

According to AS, Mateo Kovacic could be on the verge of joining Chelsea on a more permanent basis. Real Madrid want to sell him in the summer, although they are believed to want more than the initial €30 million that they paid for him when they brought Mateo over from Inter Milan. Kovacic has played really well during his first few months at Stamford Bridge, and seems to be fitting into the Premier League style of play nicely.

While that’s no guarantee of his long term success the early signs are certainly promising, especially given that many believe him to be one of the signings of the season already.

The 24 year old helped Chelsea towards a thrilling start to the Premier League campaign, with a series of fantastic performances in the middle of the park. Now, they’re considered to be amongst the favourites to secure a place in the top four.
