Europa League holders Sevilla expect to tie down star player Grzegorz Krychowiak to a new long-term deal in the coming weeks, according to Estadio Deportivo.
Despite the fact that the Polish midfielder has another three years left to run on his current contract, los Rojiblancos are eager to have his deal extended as soon as possible.
Namely, there has been a heavy interest in the player’s services of late and Sevilla officials are desperate to keep hold of their star player.
Los Rojiblancos initially planned to increase the release clause in the midfielder’s contract from €30m to €45m, but the other side had no plans to accept such a proposal.
As a result, sporting director Monchi has drafted a new offer that he believes will be tempting for Krychowiak and his representatives.
The 25-year-old has no plans to leave Sevilla just yet and there is every chance he will put pen to paper on a new five-year deal in the near future.
