Krychowiak reveals Sevilla agreement

Polish midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak has revealed that he will be joining Sevilla from Reims in the coming days.

The two clubs have been discussing the transfer for a couple of weeks now and it appears the breakthrough has been made.

Grzegorz Krychowiak has moved to reveal via his Twitter account that the deal has been agreed in principle.

“A verbal agreement was reached between @Stade_de_Reims and @SevillaFC. Official signing on Monday,” the player tweeted.

According to Marca, the transfer is worth around €5.5 million, with los Rojiblancos beating the likes of Fiorentina and Anderlecht to the midfielder’s signature.

The central midfielder has spent his entire professional career in France, having signed for Bordeaux from Arka Gdynia.

After impressing on loan spells at Nantes and Reims, the 24-year-old was purchased by his current employers in the summer of 2012 and went on to make 70 Ligue 1 appearances for Reims, scoring 8 goals.

Krychowiak has been a regular starter for Poland of late and currently has 19 national team caps to his name.
