Kubo to replace Odegaard at Sociedad?

Having sent him out on to Real Sociedad on a two-year loan this summer, Real Madrid are reportedly hopeful they will be able to recall Martin Odegaard to their ranks at the end of this season, cutting the deal in half. In order to get Sociedad on board with the idea, they are willing to offer Tafekusa Kubo instead, according to AS.

The 18-year-old is a player of similar type as Odegaard. Primarily an attacking midfielder, he has been known to play in central midfield too, as well as on the right attacking flanks. He has enjoyed a decent campaign with Real Mallorca this season so far, during which he scored once and assisted twice in 15 games in all competitions.

Apparently, Real are stunned with the way Odegaard has progressed in the short time he’s been at Sociedad, and not only that they want him back now, but they want Kubo to follow the same path if possible.
