Swiss coach Kobi Kuhn expressed his relief on Tuesday that his wife's life was not in danger after she had to be hospitalised on Monday after an epileptic fit.
Kuhn said that the news would allow him to focus on the Euro 2008 co-hosts campaign which gets underway on Saturday in Basel against Euro 2004 semi-finalists the Czech Republic.
“I was relieved to learn that her illness is under control at the moment, that she (Alice) is not in danger of dying and that the diagnosis is good,” said Kuhn, who steps down after the tournament.
“I am with her with all my head, my stomach and my heart.
“I am going to do my work without needing anyone. I am going to be 100percent with the team,” added the 64-year-old.
The Swiss team doctor has called on the press to respect the private life of the coach.
