Kun Aguero pledges his future to Atletico; Ashley Young wants a release clause to sign a new deal

Kun Aguero pledges his future to Atletico Madrid

Despite constant speculations linking him with a move away from Vicente Calderon, Kun Aguero says he is happy to sign a new deal with Atletico.

The Argentine doesn’t want to leave Atletico and he is satisfied that his representatives are close to reaching an agreement with the club regarding the new deal.

“I know that my representatives are negotiating a renewal and that the agreement is near,” said Aguero.

The striker is set to sign a three-year contract extension that will see him stay at the club until 2015 and he has expressed his satisfaction after he returned to the side in the 3:0 victory over Rosenborg.

“Luckily, I scored the goal and we relaxed a little. I came on to do the best for the team and went out. I was on the sidelines for quite a while and was looking forward to my return.”

This season have shown this Atletico side have finally matured and with the club keeping hold of their star players Forlan and Aguero, los Colchoneros look to be in for a very successful season.

Ashley Young wants a release clause to sign a new deal

Aston Villa midfielder Ashley Young has reportedly asked for a release clause to be included in his new contract as he prepares to sign a new deal with the club.

Young’s current contract is set to expire at the end of the season, and with so many clubs interested in his services, Villa officials are desperate to make the player sign a new long-term deal.

The England international is reportedly close to agreeing a new contract that will see him earn £75,000 per week, but he also wants a buy-out clause worth around £14 million included in the deal.

The player could soon be the subject of a real bidding war between Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester City, and he obviously wants to make sure Aston Villa’s asking price wouldn’t scare off potential suitors.

Even if Aston Villa chiefs are reluctant to include such a clause in the new contract, they may not have other choice as they are better off selling him for £14 million, which is still more than they have paid for him, than losing him for free come end of the season.

Bayern defender set for January move

Bayern centre-back Martin Demichelis is set to leave Bayern in January after he has fallen out with boss Louis van Gaal.

The Argentine has lost his starting spot early in the season and now even midfielder Anatoliy Tymoschuk is preferred to him in the centre-back position.

The player’s agent, Jorge Cyterszpiler has confirmed his client will be leaving in January.

“With great certainty I can say Demichelis will leave in January.”

It is no wonder the Argentine is eager to leave Bayern with Louis van Gaal admitting his status is unlikely to change any time soon.

“Everyone has to prove himself every day. Right now he does not,” said the Dutch coach.

Demichelis is reportedly tracked by some clubs from Spain, England and Italy, although after his lackluster performances at Bayern over the last few years, he can hardly hope for a big time move.
