(GSM) – Schalke 04 striker Kevin Kuranyi has insisted that he is ‘committed heart and soul’ to Gelsenkirchen side after being linked with a move away from the club.
The 27-year-old striker will be out of contract in the summer and speculation has surfaced regarding a possible switch to England.
Premier League duo of Sunderland and Birmingham are among the clubs reportedly interested in the big German.
However, Kuranyi has distanced himself from the reports by stressing that his main goal is to achieve success with Schalke.
“I try not to get involved in it (transfer talk) too much,” Kuranyi said in a video interview on the club’s official website.
“I want to have success with Schalke. We are in a very good situation at the moment.
“I have already had success here for three-and-a-half years and have also experienced difficult situations, but I feel good here and I am of course committed heart and soul to Schalke.”
Kuranyi, who is out of favour with Germany boss Joachim Low, has scored eight times in the Bundesliga this term.
