Edwin van der Sar is regarded a top professional football player with a spotless reputation, but Tomasz Kuszczak isn’t impressed with the Dutchman’s personality. The Polish Manchester United goalie says his colleague barely helps him. “Maybe he doesn’t like me, but you’d have to ask Edwin,” said Kuszczak.
The 27-year-old goalkeeper is third choice at Old Trafford behind Van der Sar and Ben Foster and does, according to himself, anything to improve his play. “To be honest, I must say this and Edwin doesn’t like this too much for sure, but he doesn’t help me too much,” he told MUTV, according to The Times.
“I’ve often called for his advice, because he has a lot of experience and he is a top-goalie. But I hardly get any advice from him.”
“I say, ‘You have to give me something more because I like to know what I do wrong and like to watch other people. Doing that I can take some good from the advice I get,” added Kuszczak.
“But I don’t know, maybe Edwin doesn’t like me. You’ll have to ask him.”
