William Kvist has assured Denmark fans that the team are not ready to leave Euro 2012, ahead of their decisive Group B match with Germany.
All of the teams in the group can still progress to the knockout stages of the competition, with the Danes even able to claim top spot with some number crunching if they beat Joachim Loew’s men.
The 27-year-old is relishing the prospect of featuring in the important fixture and is delighted to be playing against Europe’s elite.
“It’s great, players love these situations,” he said.
“When there’s the possibility to do something big.
“We haven’t packed our bags yet, we want to stay.
“We’re happy that we’ve been playing against some of the biggest teams in the world.
“We’re happy to have a young side with high quality. Advancing absolutely will be the goal.”
Germany boast some of the world’s best players, and midfielder Kvist highlighted four men in particular that they will be keeping a close eye on.
“I think Gomez is a very good player, he’s very important for Germany, very dangerous,” he said.
“And I think that (Mesut) Oezil, (Bastian) Schweinsteiger and (Sami) Khedira are very strong. I think these four players are very important for Germany, and it’s very important that we keep an eye on them.”
