Manchester City right-back Kyle Walker will sign a new contract with the club, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Italian journalist has reported on Twitter that Walker has told City that he is staying and does not want to leave for Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window.
Romano has claimed that there is an expectation that Walker will put pen to paper on a new contract with City by the end of next week. The 33-year-old right-back has been on the books of the Citizens since 2017 and is out of contract with the Premier League champions at the end of next season. Walker helped Pep Guardiola’s side win the Premier League, the FA Cup and the UEFA Champions League last season.
