Talented forward Kylian Mbappe may be staying at Monaco after all, French media outlet L’Equipe has learned.
The 17-year-old has yet to sign his first professional contract with the club and having shown a great deal of potential playing for the youth sides, he was heavily linked with a move away from Stade Louis II.
League rivals Paris Saint-Germain were prepared to offer the youngster a lucrative contract, but Monaco have since decided to act and gave their best to keep hold of their prized asset.
In addition to offering Mbappe a good contract with a significant sign-up bonus, the Principality club and their coach Leonardo Jardim have shown the youngster that he is part of their first team plans, with the winger already making six league appearances and scoring one goal.
And after Kylian Mbappe Lottin was handed his first ever Ligue 1 start at the weekend, sources close to the player have revealed that he is set to sign a new deal with the Principality club.
