ESPN is reporting that Los Angeles Galaxy are eyeing a January swoop for Juventus star Andrea Pirlo.
The MLS side see the Italy international as a perfect replacement for Landon Donovan, who has announced his plans to retire at the end of the year.
LA Galaxy officials will attempt to bring Pirlo to the United States in the January transfer window, although that will be no easy task seeing as how the 35-year-old is still considered an important player in Turin.
The veteran midfielder, who has missed the start of the new season through injury, has a deal until June 2016 with the Old Lady, but is believed to be tempted by the prospect of playing in the MLS.
Pirlo has played a key role in helping the Bianconeri lift three successive Serie A titles since arriving on a free transfer from AC Milan, making 99 league outings and scoring 12 goals in the process.
