LA Galaxy does not want Beckham

Los Angeles Galaxy boss Bruce Arena does not want David Beckham to return to the club and disrupt their season, according to News of the World.

The Galaxy have agreed a deal that will see the England star stay with AC Milan until the end of the season and then return to the MLS.

But a close friend of Arena’s told News of the World: “Bruce would feel uncomfortable about disrupting the Galaxy season. David has helped raise the profile of football in America but Galaxy have not been successful with him in the side.

“If there was a turnaround in fortunes without Beckham in the side, there is no guarantee Bruce would want to make major changes.

“It’s a case of the MLS needing Beckham more than the Galaxy needing him. It’s Bruce’s job to make the Galaxy a success, not to find a home for Beckham.”
