Los Angeles Galaxy have launched a new assault on Chelsea star Frank Lampard, Daily Mail has revealed.
The highly rated midfielder will be out of contract in the summer and the MLS side have reportedly offered him a lucrative two-year deal.
However, Daily Mail has suggested that Lampard hopes to remain at Stamford Bridge for another season and is ready to accept the club’s offer of a one-year extension.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho recently stated that he believed the veteran midfielder still had a role to play at the club despite no longer being considered a first team regular.
After scoring at least 10 Premier League goals in each of his previous ten seasons at Stamford Bridge, the 35-year-old has managed 5 goals in 26 appearances this term.
Chelsea face relegated Cardiff City on the road on the final day of the season, with the Blues 4/9 favourites to emerge victorious.
