Los Angeles Galaxy have ended their Major League Soccer season in a way they definitely did not want to, losing to Los Angeles FC in the El Trafico clash, during the Western Conference play-offs. This was expected to be Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s last match for the Galaxy and his final match in MLS, as his current contract is set to expire.
That should happen at the end of 2019 and many have expected the Swedish striker move on and find a new club. But now LA Galaxy general manager Dennis te Kloese is saying that he expects to have talks with Ibrahimovic in the coming days, as he wants to keep the player at the club for at least another year.
Despite being 38 years old, Ibrahimovic has done magnificently well in MLS in the past two seasons, as he scored 53 goals! He racked up 22 goals in the first year and then added 31 this season, whilst also making 14 assists across the two seasons.
