Los Angeles Galaxy have announced the signing of Swedish midfielder Christian Wilhelmsson on their official website.
The 32-year-old arrives to the MLS side on a free transfer after his contract with Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal expired earlier this summer.
Wilhelmsson will officially become LA Galaxy player subject to the arrival of International Transfer Certificate.
The Sweden international has joined a star-studded squad that already boast the likes of David Beckham, Robbie Keane and Landon Donovan.
The experienced winger has made a name for himself while playing for Anderlecht, and he went on to play for Nantes, Roma and Deportivo La Coruna before surprisingly accepting an offer from the Middle East.
Wilhelmsson scored a total of 24 goals in 69 league appearances for Al Hilal.
The highly rated winger is still considered an important member of the Sweden national team, and has so far scored 9 goals in 76 appearances for the Nordic country.
