Los Angeles Galaxy have announced that the club has added midfielder Fabio Alvarez to their squad, after acquiring him on loan from Argentinian side Atletico Tucuman. Alvarez has made 56 appearances for Atletico Tucuman in all competitions and has scored five goals in the process.
Alvarez previously played for Talleres de Cordoba, Defensa y Justicia and Sarmiento de Junin and now will get his chance to show his qualities in Major League Soccer.
“Favio is a talented and dynamic attacking player who will be a valuable addition to our roster,” said LA Galaxy General Manager Dennis te Kloese. “He has a versatile skillset that will allow him to play multiple positions in our attack. We think he can be a dangerous option for our club this season and we look forward to adding him to the team.”
Alvarez will be improving the squad depth at LA Galaxy, who have been too dependent on Zlatan Ibrahimovic in recent weeks.
