A number of top La Liga sides are locked in the battle for Las Palmas attacking midfielder Vitolo, AS has revealed.
Atletico Madrid have recently joined the race for the highly rated midfielder who has largely impressed in Segunda Division.
Valencia, Real Madrid and Barcelona are also believed to be keeping close tabs on Vitolo, who is widely tipped to leave his current employers for a big club in the summer.
The 23-year-old is a very versatile player, given that he can play on either wing or behind the forwards, although he has mostly been used on the left by Las Palmas.
His 12 goals in 30 league matches this season are enough to suggest that the player is lethal in one on one situations.
Vitolo has a €12 million release clause inserted in his deal, meaning he won’t come on the cheap. Real Madrid had a €3 million bid for the player’s services rejected last summer.
