Radio Marca has learned that Valladolid striker Javi Guerra has reached an agreement with Cardiff City to join the Premier League side in the summer transfer window.
The 30-year-old’s contract at Jose Zorrilla is due to expire at the end of the current campaign and he will be available on a free transfer in the summer after rejecting a new contract offer.
According to Radio Marca, Premier League newcomers Cardiff City have acted quickly and secured the player’s signature on a three-year deal.
As a result, the experienced striker will be joining the Bluebirds when his current deal expires in June.
Javi Guerra had spent much of his career playing for Spanish lower division sides, but everything changed with the move to Real Valladolid.
The forward in turn impressed at Jose Zorrilla and went on to score 68 goals in 135 league matches for the club. He has already notched 11 La Liga goals this term.
