Real Sociedad winger Antoine Griezmann has revealed that Barcelona chiefs have been in contact with his agent.
The 20-year-old has been in scintillating form last season, scoring 7 goals in 37 league games for Real Sociedad, which saw him attract a lot of interest from big European clubs.
Liverpool and Barcelona have reportedly shown interest in his services, and the player now admits his agent has been approached by the Catalans.
“It’s pleasing to see that a club like Barca are interested in me. That means I’m doing things well,” Griezmann told Spanish newspaper Sport.
“I can confirm that some directors from Barca have called my agent, but I’m not leaving.
“I have to play and I don’t want to be a substitute. That’s why I prefer to stay one or two more years at Real Sociedad.”
The French Under-21 international has a €30 million release clause inserted in his contract, but Real Sociedad are reportedly willing to accept much less.
