France Football has suggested that Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette is unlikely to move clubs in the summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old became one of Europe’s hottest commodities after enjoying the best season of his career, with quite a few top clubs showing interest in his services.
Lyon have already rejected some lucrative proposals as they want the forward to stay on for at least another year and they are now readying a new bumper deal for their prized asset.
According to France Football, Lacazette is expected to sign a new contract worth €4 million per campaign in the coming weeks.
Even though he is tempted by the prospect of joining a top European club, the forward does not want to damage his chances of playing for France at the Euro 2016 and is, therefore, almost certain to remain with Lyon.
Lacazette was one of Europe’s most prolific strikers last season, notching impressive 27 goals in 33 league appearances.
