Los Angeles FC are not ready to lose one of their best players so easily. ESPN reports that the Californian club does not want to lower the asking price for Diego Rossi. The Uruguayan forward has been linked with a move to Fiorentina and the media in the United States have been talking of rumours that LAFC’s asking price fell from $16.6m to $13.3m.
ESPN claims that it all happened after Fiorentina offered $9.4m plus add-ons for the player, but now a league source claims that is not true. LAFC have not changed the player’s asking price, as he is a very important part of the first team squad and it makes sense for the club to do that. Los Angeles FC are clearly the best team in the league right now, on course to win the Supporters Shield and then fight for their first MLS Cup victory.
The 21-year-old scored 13 goals and added four assists so far in what is his second season at the club.
