Lafferty linked with Leeds switch

Leeds United are keen to secure an emergency loan deal for out-of-favour Norwich City striker Kyle Lafferty, according to the Talksport.

The twenty-eight year old has played just thirteen minutes of league football so far this season, while he has also made one brief substitute appearance in both the League Cup and FA Cup.

His only goal of the campaign came in his sides League Cup win over West Bromwich Albion back in August though he hit seven in Northern Ireland’s successful Euro 2016 qualifying campaign.

The former Rangers man is keen to play regularly ahead of this summer’s tournament in France so could welcome a temporary move away from Carrow Road, and Leeds are ready to swoop as they look to climb the Championship table.

Steve Evans’ men currently sit in fifteenth place in the second tier, and are priced at 7/5 to beat Nottingham Forest on Saturday afternoon.
