Lafferty makes Birmingham switch

Birmingham City have signed Kyle Lafferty on an emergency loan deal from Norwich City, according to Sky Sports.

The Northern Ireland international has barely featured for the Canaries this season, with his only league appearance coming as a substitute in a 2-1 defeat to Leicester City back in October and his only strike of the campaign coming in the League Cup.

The majority of his game time since the summer has come for his country, for whom he won his forty-seventh cap on Thursday evening, in a 1-1 friendly draw with Wales.

He will now look to help Birmingham in their bid to reach the play-offs, with the Midlands side currently sitting in ninth place, six points off the top six.

The twenty-eight year old began his career with Burnley, before moving on to Rangers, Sion and Palermo while he has also had loan spells at Darlington and Caykur Rizespor.
