Lafferty set for Rangers return

According to Sky Sports, Hearts forward Kyle Lafferty is set to have a medical today in order to complete his move to Rangers. He could be available to play for the Scottish club as soon as tomorrow for their UEFA Europa League tie, with personal terms not expected to be an issue.

Lafferty has bounced around a series of clubs throughout the course of his career, but his four years with Rangers were arguably his ‘peak’ so to speak. The 30-year-old certainly works hard whenever he’s given game time and he’s often been viewed as a controversial figure, but on top of that, he also knows how to find the back of the net.

Rangers are attempting to bolster their squad as they prepare for what will be an interesting season, as Steven Gerrard attempts to guide the club towards a respectable finish in his first full season in management.
