Adam Lallana is adamant about not leaving Liverpool this summer.
As relayed by a number of media outlets, the attacking midfielder was asked about his future following the club’s Champions League triumph. His reply could not have been any clearer – there could not be any question about it. He couldn’t be any happier anywhere else, especially now after winning the greatest trophy in club football.
The 31-year-old has had a torrid season regarding injuries, and he missed more games during the 2018/19 than he featured in. Apart from that, the competition for places in Jurgen Klopp’s team has been fierce, and it’s likely to get even tougher for Lallana with the return of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain returning from long-term injury and Xherdan Shaqiri also announcing his intention to stay at Anfield.
However, the former Southampton captain and England’s Player of the Year for 2016 claims he’s been told has a big role to play in what comes next for the newly crowned champions of Europe, despite entering the last 12 months of his current contract.
