The Express understands that Adam Lallana is set to complete his move to Liverpool after passing his medical with the club.
The midfielder, who featured in all three of England’s games at this summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil, is closing in on his £25m switch from Southampton, the club with which he has, aside from a brief loan spell with Bournemouth, spent his entire career so far.
In total, the 26 year old has made two-hundred-and-sixty-five appearances in all competitions for the Saints, scoring sixty goals while he was part of the squads that won back to back promotions from League One to the Premier League.
He made his full international debut in the 2-0 friendly defeat to Chile in November last year – the first on nine caps he has won for his country so far.
Liverpool finished two points behind champions Manchester City last season, and they can be backed at 8/1 to go one better and win the title next time around.
