Lampard discusses Chelsea’s summer plans

I’m certainly excited about the squad we’ve got, with the young players and if we can get a few additions for areas I feel we need,” he told Chelsea magazine.

“We didn’t bring in anyone in January, it didn’t work out to be right for us at the time, and last summer we couldn’t bring anyone in, so those windows are gone and we haven’t changed.”

Those are the words of Chelsea manager Frank Lampard who has spoken out about what his club plans on doing during the upcoming summer transfer window. While there has been a fair bit of uncertainty regarding the window as a direct result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the popular opinion is that the Blues will still look to strengthen.

Lampard has had a mixed start to life at Stamford Bridge in the eyes of many fans and pundits, but it does appear as if he’s building for the future.
