Lampard to sign new Chelsea deal

Chelsea star Frank Lampard is set to extend his stay at Stamford Bridge for another year, reports Daily Express.

The 35-year-old will be out of contract in June, but his representatives have been in talks over a new deal over the past few weeks.

And Daily Express has learned that a breakthrough has been made, with Lampard expected to sign a one-year extension in the coming days.

It is no secret that Jose Mourinho values the player highly and he believes the England international still has a lot to offer.

Frank Lampard has developed into a club icon since joining Chelsea from West Ham back in 2001, making 440 Premier League appearances for the Blues and scoring 151 goals.

The veteran midfielder has won three Premiership titles, four FA Cup trophies, two League Cups, a Champions League and Europa League during his illustrious career, while also earning 103 England caps.
