Frank Lampard has signed an extended deal with Manchester City, according to the Express.
Having left Chelsea at the end of last season, the former England international moved to the Etihad Stadium on loan from New York City in August on an initial five-month deal, though he will now remain with the Premier League champions until the end of the summer.
He has penned a contract which dwarfs the wages he was collecting with the London club, where he spent thirteen years, making almost six hundred and fifty appearances in all competitions and scoring a record two hundred and eleven goals.
The 36 year old has made seven appearances for Manuel Pellegrini’s side, scoring four times, and could make his first Champions League start of the season tomorrow evening against CSKA Moscow.
City are currently third in Group E with two points, and can be backed at 1/1 to progress into the knockout stages of the competition.
