“I won’t talk about [Wilfried] Zaha because he’s not a player of ours. If we have to do business we’ll do it in the way that we see fit to try to make us better and that will be done behind closed doors as opposed to just announcing who we might want to bring in.”
Those are the words of Chelsea manager Frank Lampard who has decided to take the diplomatic approach when being questioned over the potential signing of Wilfried Zaha. The popular Ivory Coast international took a while to really get into the rhythm of things this season, but now that he’s up and running, he has been attracting the attention of top clubs all across Europe – and especially in the Premier League.
There’s still a long way to go in this January transfer window, but for the time being, Lampard isn’t willing to comment publicly on the matter.
