Lanzini set for new contract

According to a recent report from Sky Sports News, West Ham United are on the verge of securing a contract extension for Manuel Lanzini. He currently only has 12 months remaining on his current deal in East London, and hasn’t quite signed an extension just yet. The Hammers have the option to extend the deal by another two years, but want to make sure that he remains at the club beyond 2022 as they consider him to be an integral part of what they’re trying to build.

One way or another it seems like Manuel’s future with West Ham is going to be a lot more secure before too long, although at the age of 26, many are wondering why he doesn’t take it upon himself to move to a club that can guarantee European football.

Perhaps he just has a great deal of faith in what the club will be able to accomplish within the next few years.
