Competition: Segunda division
Market: Las Palmas win
Odds: 7/5 @ Bet 365
Looking to continue their very impressive run at the Estadio de Gran Canaria, Las Palmas will host Almeria on Sunday evening.
Starting with the hosts, while Las Palmas may have suffered a 2-0 loss away at runaway league leaders Osasuna last weekend, the mood in Pepe Mel’s camp will be on a high. Looking to secure a top-half finish in Spain’s second-tier, La Union have won three of their last five outings and have really started to shine at the Estadio de Gran Canaria. Led by leading goalscorer Rubén Castro who has bagged 15 goals this season, Sunday’s hosts have now won their last three matches on home soil, scoring eight goals on the winning run.
As for the visitors, while Las Palmas might be enjoying some success at the end of the year, Almeria’s sluggish run has seen them once again miss out on a play-off spot. Putting in another impressive display in their 0-0 draw at home to Alcorcón last weekend, Francisco Diaz’s side have managed to pick up just one win in their last five outings and have really started to struggle away from the Estadio de los Juegos Mediterráneos. Almeria have lost three of their last four matches on the road and have picked up just a single away victory since the 3rd of March.
Bet: Las Palmas 7/5 to beat Almeria in Sunday’s Seguna showdown @ Bet 365
