Las Palmas left-back Sergi Cardona linked with Barcelona

Barcelona are interested in signing Sergi Cardona from Las Palmas in the summer of 2024, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that Barcelona are looking for a replacement for Marcos Alonso, who is out of contract with the defending La Liga champions at the end of the season. One of the left-backs Barca are monitoring at the moment is Cardona.

Fichajes has noted that Cardona is a left-back with a promising future. He has pace, is good going on the back, and is adept at defending. The 24-year-old has also demonstrated his tactical maturity. Cardona has made 19 starts and three substitute appearances in La Liga this season. He has given two assists in those games.

The report has noted that Barcelona could also make use of Alex Valle next season. Valle is on loan at Levante from Barcelona at the moment and is scheduled to return to the former UEFA Champions League winners at the end of the season. The 19-year-old left-back has played 20 times in the Segunda Division in Spain.
