Spanish La Liga outfit Las Palmas have moved to reveal that they have terminated the contract of Ghanaian midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng.
The club cited “irreversible personal reasons” for their decision, and this comes as a surprise given that the 30-year-old had only signed a new three-year deal three months ago.
The real reasons will be revealed at a 5pm press conference, where club chairman Miguel Angel Ramirez and the player should explain what went on.
Boateng enjoyed a very successful first season with Las Palmas, bagging 10 goals in 28 La Liga games as he was mostly used as a centre forward.
According to reports, the well-traveled footballer is expected to return to German Bundesliga, where Eintracht Frankfurt are keen.
