French newspaper L’Equipe has revealed that Lassana Diarra is nearing closer to Anzhi exit.
The club from Makhachkala are looking to offload their high earners as club owner Suleyman Kerimov aim to seriously cut back expenses.
The likes of Aleksandr Kokorin, Yuri Zhirkov and Igor Denisov have already left the club, while Samuel Eto’o is also linked with a summer exit.
According to L’Equipe, Lassana Diarra is on the verge of leaving as well, with Monaco and Lokomotiv Moscow believed to be keen.
And while the French giants have yet to submit an official proposal, the 28-year-old is reportedly in talks with Lokomotiv over a switch to Moscow.
Lassana Diarra has enjoyed a pretty successful career, having played for Arsenal, Chelsea and Real Madrid, among other clubs, but the general impression is he hasn’t quite fulfilled his potential.
The experienced midfielder arrived at Anzhi last summer and has since made 18 Russian Premier League appearances for the club.
