Former Real Madrid midfielder Lassana Diarra is close to ending his frustration at the French side Olympique Marseille.
The 31-year-old French international is out of favour with Marseille head coach Rudi Garcia, who is not counting on the experienced footballer. Diarra refused to travel with the team to Nantes, knowing he would not be selected to play and has risked aggravating the club officials.
Diarra was already given all clear to leave Velodrome during winter following 11 Ligue 1 appearances this season for the club.
Having missed the opportunity to make a move during the January transfer window, Diarra has found his options severely limited at this point and a move to China appears as the only solution to his struggles, according to French media outfit Le 10 Sport.
Marseille are thought to be unwilling to end the 31-year-old’s contract and thus miss out on potentially substantial transfer fee, although Lassana Diarra is doing his best to anger the club management and force them to terminate his deal.
