(GSM) – The Argentinian top clash between Boca Juniors and Estudiantes de la Plata on Friday ended in a 1-1 draw, with the hosts giving away a win at the last moment.

Boca, who haven’t been able to convince this season, took the lead on 25 minutes as former Villarreal player Martin Palermo converted a penalty.

But the lead would not last as Estudiantes equalised two minutes into added time. Leandro Gonzalez collected the ball outside the penalty area and blasted home from about 17 meters.

Boca remain stuck in tenth place, while a win would have led the Buenos Aires outfit to seventh. Estudiantes are in fifth place, one point away from the top but most of their rivals are still to play this weekend.
