Standard de Liege keep their pressure on RSC Anderlecht following a lucky 2-1 win over RAEC Mons on Saturday.

Standard opened the score through Jovanovic in the tenth minute but Jarju levelled for Mons with seven minutes to go.

The home team would secure the victory though as Witsel converted a penalty kick in added time.

Mons had been down to ten since the 71st minute, when Hatchi conceded a second yellow card.

RSC Anderlecht will now have to beat Zulte Waregem on Sunday to reconquer their lead in the Eerste Klasse.
