The agent of Steaua defender Iasmin Latovlevici has confirmed reports linking his client with a move to Monaco.
After missing out on Lucas Digne this summer, the Principality club have continued their search for a new left-sided defender, and they seem to have set their sights on the Romania international.
Latovlevici’s official representative has revealed that Monaco are one of the clubs showing interest in the 27-year-old footballer.
“It is true, Monaco follow him, but they are not the only top club interested,” agent Florin Iacob told Sport.ro TV station.
”Everything depends on whether the offer made to Steaua is satisfying or not.”
Iasmin Latovlevici has spent his entire career in Romania, playing for CFR Timisoara, Politehnica, Gloria Bistrita and Steaua.
He has developed into an important defender for the Romanian giants, but he has only earned 8 Romania caps so far.
The experienced defender did amass more than 40 appearances in European competitions, but it won’t be easy for him to prove he has what it takes to succeed at Stade Louis II, especially with Monaco vying for the Ligue 1 title at the moment.
