(GSM) – Denmark legend Brian Laudrup has openly spoken about his surprise diagnosis with cancer.
The 41-year-old revealed he is getting treatment for a mild case of lymphoma after discovering the cancer in its early stages.
“I was shocked by the diagnosis,” Laudrup, told TV3, for whom he works as a commentator.
Laudrup insists he would continue to work for TV3 on Champions League matches and remains optimistic.
Laudrup, whose brother Michael manages Mallorca, has played 82 times for his country, scoring 21 goals.
He was in the squad that won the European Championship win in 1992.
