According to reports in Spain, Michael Laudrup has contacted Real Madrid regarding the possibility of managing the Spanish giants in the not so distant future. Julen Lopetegui is under a great deal of pressure courtesy of his poor start to life as boss, with it being clear to see that he was a poor choice to succeed the outgoing Zinedine Zidane. Laudrup, on the other hand, has just finished up his time managing over in Qatar – and it appears as if he’s ready to dive back into European football.
Laudrup played for Real for two years during his playing career, and would serve as another ex-player turned manager for the European champions – which is probably something they wouldn’t be all too opposed to given the success that Zidane had.
Lopetegui is reportedly clinging onto his job by a thread, and one or two more bad results could well signal the end of his tenure at the Bernabeu.
